We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

We have taken to heart the principle that every individual and organization is part of the fabric of society and consequently, should put back into society a portion of the fruits of success derived from society. In the context of this view we have established Umeed, a charitable trust that seeks to better the lives of the people of Sangrur and neighbouring areas. Our efforts include:

Provision of free healthcare facilities in the form of mobile dispensaries, specialized clinics and AIDS awareness and targeted intervention programmes and health camps.

Social empowerment, aiming at the upliftment of rural women through Self-Help Groups, basic literacy, economic activities, vocational training, start up of micro enterprise and family counseling.

In all these efforts we seek not only to initiate our own efforts, but to act as a catalyst for ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ initiatives and synergise our efforts with the Government. We believe that our joint efforts can multiply the effectiveness of our endeavour.
